About me

Amy Carter

I am originally from Bath in England.

I have seven years of experience teaching students of all levels both face-to-face in France and Japan as well as online. I gained my CELTA certificate in 2021.  I love helping students improve and feel more confident in English.

Before teaching, I spent 15 years in the PR industry in London and Brussels. I worked for companies and clients across a broad range of industries including the private equity, aviation and rail sectors. I also worked for two global PR consultancies (Edelman and Hill & Knowlton).

I have lived in France, Japan, Germany and Belgium. Now I live with my family in The Hague in the Netherlands. I enjoy walking, photography, writing and learning Dutch.
